What Is a Webmail?

Webmail is a website that provides web users with an interface to connect and access their web-based email accounts. Users can log in and send/receive email through the webmail service, instead of having to check their email using separate web-based or desktop email application software. When webmail users want to read new messages, they’ll check the webmail interface and download the email from their server using a web browser. Once downloaded, webmails can be accessed and viewed through any web browser on almost any device or platform – including all desktop and mobile web browsers, smartphones, or tablets

Web mails are great for people who manage web-based email accounts from many different platforms and devices, including web browsers on PCs or Macs, smartphones, and tablets.
