1. What is Qmul Webmail and how does it work?
Qmul Webmail is a web-based email service that allows Qmul students, staff, and faculty to send and receive emails from anywhere in the world provided they have internet access. Qmul’s Qmule system is used to manage Qmul Webmail. Qmule has been around for more than 20 years but it was only made available to Qmul students in September 2013. Qmule has been a popular email service among Qmul staff and faculty for many years prior to being offered to Qmul students.
2. How to set up your account?
The Qmul system is set up to use Qmul as the domain name for Qmul Webmail. Qmul’s Qmule system supports both Qmul and QMUL email addresses. The two can be used interchangeably with Qmul Webmail.
3. Why do you need a Qmul account?
A Qmul account is a prerequisite for Qmul Webmail. Qmul allows users to access Qmul email from any computer with internet access, anywhere in the world. Qmule also offers some useful tools for managing your emails and mailing lists.
4. Creating an email signature?
Email signatures are used to make Qmul email more personal. Qmule allows users to create a signature that will be automatically added at the end of each Qmul email sent from Qmul Webmail. Qmule also has several options available for adding graphics to your signature. Your Qmul account must have an associated Qmul email so Qmule can automatically add your Qmul signature.
5.How do you get Qmul Webmail?
Qmul Webmail is available to Qmul students, staff, and faculty who have an active Qmul account. QMUL accounts are automatically created for registered QMUL students once they arrive on Qmul’s campus. Qmul accounts are available to QMUL staff and faculty members upon request.
6. Setting up filters for incoming emails from certain senders or domains, or with certain keywords in their subject lines?

QMUL users can also turn on Qmule’s Gmail Notifier which will allow the QMUL user to receive email notifications in Qmule Folder updates via email. QMail Notifications are set up to go out automatically every time a Qmul email arrives in the Qmul Folder of your QMUL account’s Qmule system.
